Prioritize Your 2020 New Year Resolutions

We all want a fresh start or something better! This is the only time we look back to understand what we have achieved, what we have missed and  what to change for better.

Our new year resolutions are a mirror of what we wanted to do for a very long time but for one million reasons we did not. Subconsciously, something is telling us what is the right thing to do and that turns into a resolution.

I have noticed that most of the resolutions are "well being" related - weight loss, gym, massage, pilates, yoga, vacation of your dreams, fitness classes.

No matter what you choose you are on the right path. Just by figuring out your resolution. You know - this is what you want, what you need and what will make you happy! Great - but this is the first step and unless you continue , there will be no outcome.

And here we go - New YEAR - new beginning! - Your MOTIVATION.

It starts with Motivation!

Do not stop there!

Follow the next steps towards reaching your goal (that is your resolution)!

You made a decision but you are adding one more thing to your to-do list. how are you going to make time for it?

Lets look at what comes next to make your dreams come true:

1. PRIORITIZE - do not forget - this is your Resolution, it is important to you - It has to go somewhere at the beginning of your to-do list.

Don't forget - it is a process and you need to follow through, otherwise, sooner or later you will drop it off of your 2 pages to-do list.

2. The most important step is to make it happen! - your COMMITMENT!

Now you have the motive, it is a priority for you, commit to accomplish and achieve your goal.

Do your research, find the best way for you to get where you want to be , review your busy schedule, find your place, schedule an appointment  and booom!!! You feel the excitement already?

You are so proud of yourself, you are already on your way to actually do what you promised yourself!

3. Now (I will admit) comes the hardest part -

Be CONSISTENT and PATIENT. Good things come slow, you need to work hard for them to happen. Imaging you go to the gym for the first time - if your goal is to get fitted that is not going to happen with your first and only visit, you need to work( a lot) for it. You go for a massage once- yes, it feels great, but it is temporary.  Here I will recommend to sign up for packages, memberships, something that is harder to give up or throw out of your mind, something that will keep your motivation alive!

Remember — your schedule was challenged, but after all it was your decision, resolution, you had the motivation, you committed to yourself, it is a priority now.

And after all of this you will fail?

Where is your motivation to be healthier and happier?

We are not motivated to do a lot of stuff but we do it anyway either because it has to be done or this is the only way or we know is for better! even It is hard sometimes to get in the car, to sit in traffic, leave our comfort to go and do what we committed to, it is worth for our own self-esteem, energy and health!

Think about it - when you force yourself to do something that you know will benefits you, you are so proud of yourself afterwards and you do not regret you forced it to happen!

There are always excuses if you are not committed to your dreams!

Do not let obstacles get on your way to feel better, energized and ready to climb new mountains!

Just to give you an example: You do everything and anything for your kids to become educated, active and successful. You do everything to reach your professional goals. You go through discouragements, disappointments, even sacrifices sometimes, but no matter what it takes, you keep going... towards what you believe in and what you want to accomplish!

Do the same thing for your health!
